FUN FACT:  Did you know that Magat Dam is a large rock-fill dam on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The dam is located on the Magat River, a major tributary of the Cagayan River. 


Constructed in 1983, Magat Dam is one of the largest dams in the Philippines and has two primary purposes: as a source of irrigation water and a provider of hydroelectric power.


 The Magat Dam is located on the Magat River at the boundary between the municipalities of Alfonso Lista in the province of Ifugao and Ramon in Isabela both on the island of Luzon. The Magat River is the largest tributary of the Cagayan River, the longest river in the country. – 360cities.net 







When I was on vacation with my boyfriend in his hometown of Isabela. His cousins planned to take us to Magat Dam for a quick tour of Isabela's stunning countryside and tourist attractions. There is a long road leading to that location on our way to the dam. The Magat Dam is located on the boundary of the provinces of Isabela and Ifugao.

We continued along the river until we reached the Magat Dam. There are fishing boats and islets with houses. Then, after a few pictures, we went straight to the dam's road. It feels fantastic to know that my boyfriend's family and other relatives welcome me to their hometown and treat me as if I'm one of them.





 

We stayed in the nearest place with shade and enjoy the scenery. The view is breathtaking, you can see the dam and waterways and also the river with a view of a bridge.
